Tim is a seasoned professional with over 40 years of experience in law firms, as in-house counsel, and as an entrepreneur. His extensive background includes serving as general counsel, board member, business succession and estate planning advisor to business owners, and principal advisor to middle-market and public companies. Tim has guided business owners and leaders through challenging times, advising them on complex financial deals, negotiations, and transactions. His expertise spans corporate law, taxation, real estate, structured finance, business succession and estate planning, and other disciplines, enabling him to craft highly sophisticated transactions such as stadium construction financing, bank mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, split-offs, tax-free corporate reorganizations, private placements, and hostile tender offers.

As a CEO, Tim demonstrated exceptional leadership and technology skills, transforming a near-bankrupt company into one achieving double-digit sales growth and record-breaking profitability on a global scale. His notable achievements include earning the “Refinancing of the Year” award from The M&A Advisor in 2011 for a complex transaction involving a novel in-kind equity infusion and the creation of a new stock class. Additionally, Tim was selected by the Creditors’ Committee in a Chapter 11 proceeding to serve as the sole independent director on the board of an international company domiciled in Liberia, which specializes in transporting liquified natural gas.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tim has been married to Therese Anne Brown since 1981, and they have six children and a growing number of grandchildren. His personal interests include reading, architecture and design, collecting, and playing the piano recreationally. Tim is also a certified scuba diver who enjoys travel, boating, hunting, and outdoor sports, reflecting his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors.
